K R I S B R O W N , P H . D .
For fifteen years, I pursued an academic career. During this time,
I taught at Rice University, University of St. Thomas, Georgetown
University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 1993,
I agreed to leave academics and help my husband, David Brown, establish
a clinical research organization in Austin. Since this time, I have
overseen the development of Community Clinical Research. We have
contributed to the introduction of many important new treatments
for mental illnesses, provided a thoughtful alternative to well
over a thousand study participants, and brought together a careful,
creative and energetic group of professionals whose sole focus has
been research to improve treatments for mental illnesses. I am very
proud of the work we have accomplished as well as our ever-expanding
capabilities.
