David Brown, MD

Principal Investigator

Since 1994, David Brown, M.D. has conducted over 250 clinical trials of investigational medications for mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD. Dr. Brown has worked as a consultant to various contract research organizations and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Brown has over 20 years of experience with a variety of diagnostic, cognitive, and efficacy rating scales designed to assess a myriad of mental illnesses. Dr. Brown also has an interest in utilizing diagnostic instruments such as EEG and FMRI and their evoked potentials in psychiatry. Dr. Brown is bilingual in English and Spanish. Calvin Robbins

Clinical Research Coordinator

After a career in fine dining management, Calvin entered the field of mental health in 2013 as a psychiatric nurse and joined CCR as charge nurse in 2015. In summer of 2017 Calvin transitioned to the research side of our facility as CCR's fourth Clinical Research Coordinator. Calvin is a member of the ESOP Employee Relations Committee and Quality Management Committee.

 

 


Scot Flynn

Sub-Investigator

Scot joined Community Clinical Research in 2011 as the Sub-Investigator. He has many years of psychiatric experience, including 3 years in child-adolescent psychiatry and PT occupational medicine at Yale-Bridgeport Hospital and 2 years in Developmental Behavioural Pediatrics, as well as recent work in Cross Creek Hospital's acute psychiatry inpatient unit and private work in addiction medicine and outpatient psychiatry. Scot has also completed volunteer medical preceptorships on the Texas-Mexico border, in Costa Rica, and in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is bilinugal in English and Spanish. Click here for his CV.

 

 


Larry Mackey

Community Liason

Larry has worked in the mental health field since 2010 and joined Community Clinical Research in 2013. Since then, he has created lasting relationships with patients and care providers in order to get patients access to the right cutting-edge medications for them and facilitate successful clinical trials. Larry is a member of the ESOP Public Relations Committee.

 

 


Pete Gonzalez

Regulatory Specialist

Pete holds a B.S. in Biology from St. Mary's University and a M.S. in Biology from Texas State University.
Along with his experience as a research assistant, Pete is certified as an E.M.T. and a phlebotomist. He is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
At Community Clinical Research, he is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and the Public Relations Committee.

 

 


Tammy Belisile

Office Manager

Tammy's extensive managerial and finance experience keeps Community Clinical Research running smoothly. Her long history of volunteer work allows Tammy to bring a deep understanding of relationship as well as impressive organizational skills to our team. Tammy is the ESOP Committee Chair for the Social Function Committee and a member of the Public Relations Committee.

 

 


Katrina Till

Nurse Manager

Katrina joined Community Clinical Research in 2015 as the Nurse Manager. Katrina has experience in psychiatry as well as drug, oncology, alcohol detox, and wound care. Katrina is a member of the ESOP Quality Management Committee and Public Relations Committee.

 

 


Diana Whitley

Clinical Research Coordinator

Diana Whitley joined Community Clinical Research in 2007 as a Research Assistant and became a Study Coordinator in 2009. She has conducted both inpatient and outpatient studies. and excels in advanced Phase 1 protocol execution. Diana and has over 10 years of research experience working with a variety of patient populations. Diana earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004. Diana is the ESOP Committee Chair for the Quality Management Committee and a member of the Finance Committee.

 

 


Janice Roggenkamp

Director, Business Development & Operations Management

After fourteen years as CEO of another clinical research site specializing in all phases of CNS research, Janice narrowed her focus since 1989 CNS Business Development, study budget and contract negotiations, and operations management issues. She has worked with psychiatric patients since 1977 and in research since 1980.

 

 


Mark Embry

Community Relations Manager

Mark has worked in the mental health field since 1992 and joined Community Clinical Research in 1999. His passion for patient care has helped CCR forge strong relationships with patients and care providers all over Texas. His organizational acumen continues to allow CCR to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Mark is a member of the ESOP Finance Committee.

 

 


Tosha L. Reed

Laboratory Director

Tosha Reed holds certifications as an LVN, phlebotomist, and in telemetry. She has previous experience in the clinical trials field, working for several other clinical trial centers located in Austin, as well as for Seton Hospital. She joined Community Clinical Research in 2018.

 

 


Nicolette Enenmoh

Clinical Reseach Coordinator

Nicolette Enenmoh is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelors degree in Biology. While enrolled at the University of Texas, she conducted projects at the UT Laboratory on the Study of Anxiety Disorders under the direction of Michael Telch, PhD. Additionally, she has served as a volunteer at the Dell Childrens' Hospital Blood and Cancer Center.

 

 


Isha Bal

Clinical Research Coordinator

Isha Bal is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, holding a Bachelors degree in Biology. She has a background in science education for elementary, middle, and high school students through both a private organization and the University of Texas, in addition to having worked for a health care start-up which developed medical practice software and electronic medical record systems. In 2019, she attended the FDA Training Course for Clinical Investigators. She oversees regulatory submissions and correspondence in addition to her study coordinator duties.
